NFC Tags Phishing:

The Near Field Communication (NFC) is a set of standards for mobile devices designed to create radio communication with each other by being touched together or brought within a short distance.

NFC is a technology that allows us, among other things, to make a payment through mobile phone or even a smart watch. As we know it is enough to bring the device closer to the POS and make the payment. So, NFC phishing is to put malicious link or attachments on it. You can be hacked by touching it or even being close enough.

NFC is closely linked to functions that are automated. This means that simply by passing a device near another we will be able to send information that we do not want, and it can be executed without the user knowing that a transfer is in progress.

  • How to prevent NFC phishing attacks:
  1. disable itwhen we are not going to use it.
  2.  important to maintain the security of the device.
